Rachel: Self Discovery of Beauty and Feminity

In my March post, which is called "Beauty and Perception", I was praying for a permission from one truly Amazing Human Being to take beauty portraits of her.

I was ready to create something really special for this Beautiful Woman. My goal was to take pictures, where she would be her authentic, gorgeous and glorious Self. I wanted her to put her guard down and let her inner light shine. I wanted her to never doubt her beauty again.

Here is the result of our cooperation. The experience was fun! The impact was powerful. I loved every minute of it and am forever grateful for the trust.

Embody Physical Therapie & Yoga Photo Shoot

Embody Physical Therapie & Yoga is a place, where your health care meets true expertise. The studio is cozy and cute and has three separate rooms for different purposes.

The place was founded by Rachel Krentzman, who worked in different medical facilities for years, until decided that the only way to give people a true service was to do something on her own. Here, at Embody, they practice individual, holistic approach to back problems and take as much time as needed to provide the best service possible, which brings real results. They don't shut down pain with medication, they find and fix the cause of the discomfort instead.

Rachel has an amazing ability to instantly make you feel comfortable. I don't know how she does it, in fact, I'd love to learn the trick myself. After giving it a thought, I came to the conclusion, that there is nothing but a compassionate heart and a delightfully warm personality there, spiced with a genuine smile and a kind gaze straight into your eyes.

All the staff members: Alison, Nicole, and Jenn are the true experts, with intensive training, years of experience and magic hands.

Enjoy!

A Beautiful Family Photo Shoot

I've known Hoda for 5 years now and can't quite praise her enough: a beautiful inside and out human being, a great cook, a wonderful hostess, a competent professional, a good student, a wise friend, but first and foremost, a strong, confident, vibrant and extremely feminine Woman. She is only one of a kind and her husband has certainly won a jackpot!

Hoda has always been a good looking girl, but her beauty came to a full bloom after she became a mother of the cutest little boy, named Yasha. Now she radiates the energy of love, which can not be put in words but rather felt with one's entire being.

Hoda is a true inspiration for all the mothers to be. When you look at this gorgeous woman and her family, you realize that being a happy, healthy and beautiful mom is real, moreover, she makes it look so easy that you get tempted to believe it.

I tried to capture with my lens what I saw with my heart.

 Enjoy!

My First Ever Baby Shoot! Beautiful, 11 Days Old Baby Charlotte

Let's start from the beginning: I don't shoot babies. Neither with the gun, nor with the camera. Bad joke, I know:)

Seriously though, I have no intention in taking pictures of babies simply because I have no clue what to do with them.

Kids tend to love me enormously, starting at about 5 month or so, but newborns? Hmmm... I don't remember holding one in my hands until this shoot.

A short preface: I have a good friend, whose name is Josie. I believe, she is one of the best people I know in this world. Josie gave birth to a baby daughter and I felt like as a proud aunty. What would be the best gift I could ever give to my friend's family? Of course the pictures of their little precious princess Charlotte! It was a no brainer for me.

So I did my homework: watched baby posing videos, read some articles, brainstormed the ideas, got a bunch of props and went to my friend's place feeling very confident and ready to rock and roll.

Don't you know? Babies are just like dolls, you can move them around and they remain asleep. And, yeah, I guess, they poop once in a while, but certainly not in a presence of a serious girl with a camera.

Well... As I brought all the props to Josie's home, she asked me: "Luba, do you mind to hold Charlotte so I can go to bathroom?" Not at all, why would I mind, oh, wait, do I have to hold her head? How do I do it? Oh My Gosh, she is so small... But my friend had already disappeared.

So I was sitting on the floor, holding this tiny baby and sweating. No, this doesn't quite describe it. I was SWEATING! The baby girl looked at me with her alien eyes and suddenly those eyes got bigger and then I've heard the noise... Yes, she pooped. After that she peacefully relaxed for a few seconds and then started staring at me with her unfocused gaze again. And then she pooped again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At this point I was blessing all the diaper manufacturers of this world while still trying to hold it together. This is when my dear friend returned from her bathroom journey, which lasted for the longest three minutes of my life. Yes, in case you were wondering, the baby pooped twice in less than three minutes, while in my hands. Apparently, I have a laxative effect on some newborns.

The best part started when my friend took her cutie from me and didn't understand why the little one was so wet. Well... my hands get sweaty when I'm nervous and I was very nervous for the last three minutes... How embarrassing....

One more thing, out of at least 15(!) ideas I had for this shoot, I barely implemented one(!). Charlotte kept on moving and crying. Those baby photographers really earn their money, I have to tell you.

Charlotte, you are the cutest, most adorable baby ever! I love you with all my heart!!!

Now, as we got comfortable around each other, there is no more sweating involved. At the same time the "diaper work" has at least a year and a half to go... but it's not my business:):):)

Here is Mamma's Sweet Angel...
So Cute!!!!!
